Article Marketing for List Building Does it Really Work?

When I first got started in internet marketing, I tried a number of different things to get traffic to my web site. I also tried sending my traffic directly to a sales page, and try to both sell them there and get them to leave their opt in information.

After much trial and error, I learned two things: it is much easier to use a squeeze page and collect the opt in information there, and then direct people to the sales page afterwards, than it is to try to do both on one page.

I also learned that article marketing does wonders for my list building base. I have found that the articles I write are one of my best sources of new customers. I find that subscribers who enter my email list after reading an article are predisposed to spend a lot more money with me than subscribers who come to me from another avenue.

I think that one of the reasons for that is that when someone reads one of my articles, they are already presold on me, they already like me, or they wouldnt have clicked through from the article they read.

So in answer to the question in the title, does article marketing really work for list building, if you ask me the answer is yes. I am consistently getting new subscribers who become purchasers via the articles I write, and as proof of my confidence, I am currently personally writing about 20 articles per day and submitting them to the online directories.
